Price matters, but a late or wrong delivery costs more than any discount. Before you place a first order with a new supplier, check five things.
The company is real
Ask for the trade licence and the Tax Registration Number. On Kanzama, look for the Verified Supplier badge: it means the company documents were reviewed.
The product matches your specification
Request a data sheet, dimensions and photos of the actual stock. For technical goods ask for a drawing.
The terms are written down
Confirm price, minimum order quantity, lead time, delivery terms and payment terms in the chat, so both sides can refer to them later.
The supplier answers quickly and precisely
Vague answers before the order usually mean vague answers after it.
A trial order is possible
Start with a smaller quantity when you can. It is the cheapest way to test quality and delivery.
Post a request for quotation and compare several suppliers at once.
